I just uninstalled Google Chrome on my Mac. It made me too sad, and here’s why.
First, the vertical tabs option was removed. The change report says
Sidetabs were an experiment that didn’t pan out. They’re in a half-working state and should be removed, says Glen.
We’ll try to come up with other approaches for this use case.
This is patently absurd. It worked great. I used it for a long time. Everyone I showed it to, loved it, especially on a wide screen display. That they took it away so quietly irritates me.
Second, the session restore doesn’t work if you click the red X on the window. It does work if you Command-q or quit straight from the dock as stated here.
I bit the bullet a while back and started loading up my work iPhone with apps. I added more that 100 as I ran out of “pages” to show them. I started using the little folder/group thingies in iOS 4+. But What I’ve come down to is that only a handful of apps are used or useful.

And really, that’s the gist of this post. I can do almost everything on my Palm Pre Minus/Original as I can on my iPhone including hook up the corporate email system. Plus I don’t have to deal with AT&T on it.
The biggest advantage is the OS access. With the homebrew terminal app I can do all sorts of cool things like I can on my laptop or netbook. Unless you jailbreak the iPhone, good luck having SSH or perl or bash or rsync or any other useful cli utility.
What would jazz me the most would be if Sprint came out with a Palm world phone. I could then ditch the iPhone and AT&T in one fell swoop. And I think Sprint needs to do this since North American providers like Bell Wireless in Canada are jumping to GSM.
